COVID-19 Pandemic: How You Feel During Home Quarantine

It has been a month since the strict lockdown rules in Spain were issued on March 14th due to COVID-19 pandemic. Here you only leave your homes for absolute necessities, if not you can be fined for leaving home without good reason. From that time, I just went out two times for food shopping in the supermarket 100m away. As though life would be stressful and boring during home quarantine. But I still feel good when keeping my days busy with indoor activities and I’m luckier than many.

It’s heartbreaking to see the number of people infected with COVID-19 keep rising everyday, especially in the US and Spain. As of April 14, there are more than 125,000 of deaths due to COVID-19 pandemic acording to Worldometers. And this number is certainly lower than the actual number. The situation we go through right now looks like something a horror movie where there are epidemics and ghost cities.

The world is currently witnessing an unprecedented event that the COVID-19 pandemic affects all segments of the population. As the coronavirus outbreak has shut down businesses globally and millions of people around the world have lost their jobs. Likewise, our plans and trips are cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Most governments around the world have temporarily closed educational institutions in an attempt to contain the spread of the coronavirus. The COVID-19 pandemic is a serious public health problem and is placing pressure on the global economy.

In a situation like this, I don’t expect life to return to normal for at least two more months. Hope the coronavirus epidemic ends soon so people can get back to businesses, schools and visit relatives. If someone asks me: Where do you want to travel after lifting coronavirus lockdown? Definitely my answer is that I want to visit my family when this outbreak is under control. Life gives us joy, but the family is where most of our joy comes from. There’s nothing that makes you more happy than family, so love your family as much as you can because family is everything.

For millions of people across the world, life has changed dramatically in the last few weeks, something as simple as having dinner with their beloved ones already feels like a distant memory. The hard reality, many people with COVID-19 have died with no family or friends around them. Thousands of patients passed away alone in hospital and no chance to say goodbye to close family members since stringent restrictions. At a difficult time like this, we really realize that life is too short. So, do the best you can and live your life to the fullest expression of yourself.

No matter what your age is or where you are, you can catch COVID-19. The best way to protect yourself against COVID-19 is by frequently cleaning your hands and following social distancing guidelines. But if you get infected with coronavirus, it’s important to stay calm and follow your doctor’s instructions. A healthy immune system can reduce your chance of viral infections. While progresses in the prevention and treatment of coronavirus disease are very promising, so all we need to do is stay patience and positive during this outbreak. We need to be healthy to do what we want and live a meaningful life. Without good health, you have nothing! So your health is the most important thing in your life.

Every passing minute, someone is infected with the COVID-19 virus. With exponential growth, the number of new cases each day constantly increase, which makes us more or less afraid. In the current situation, many countries around the world have imposed lockdown and social distancing measures to slow the spread of COVID-19. And solidarity is more important than ever in this difficult time. We need to come together to fight the global pandemic and follow the government’s advice to prevent the spread of coronavirus by exercising social distancing. Although movement has been restricted under lockdown, but we should support to those in need, reach out to our elderly neighbours to help with errands. The coronavirus outbreak is tough challenge to all human race, we need to unite in this battle  and we will get it through.

Maybe none of us has ever experienced a global health crisis like this time. And we are witnessing the devastation of COVID-19 to human health and the global economy. Whoever you are, businessman or worker, rich or poor people, all of us are affected by this epidemic. In such difficult times, we realize that we should learn to be patient and accept reality. You cannot rush to reopen for business while the epidemic is still not under control. Health is everything in this moment, health brings wealth but wealth can not buy a good health.

When all business operations are closed except essentials like supermarkets, utilities, and healthcare. Meanwhile, millions of people around the world have lost their jobs amid the current COVID-19 crisis. This is, of course, a financial challenge for many who have suddenly lost their income. But every crisis in our life is an opportunity for us to live slowly and rectify ourselves. Just doing what you like that because of work you didn’t even have time to do it before. You can make delicious food, practice meditation to promote emotional health and well-being or you can open a YouTube channel to share everything about life … There are many good things you can do at home for relaxation and relief from stress of daily epidemic news. Every day since the lockdown in Spain started, I go to the balcony to watch birds dancing and chirping. Bird warching makes me feel peaceful and calm.

The coronavirus crisis has reminded us to save money and live simply. At the moment, we all want things to return to normal as soon as posible, but no one knows exactly when life will get back to normal. Whether it’s one month, two months or next year, we need to simplify our life, buy only what you need, not what you want. Luxury items do not help you have a better life in this epidemic. Living simply and sparingly is also one of the best ways to protect the natural environment around us.

As the COVID-19 impacts millions of people across the world and brings economies to a grinding halt. However, there is an unexpected side effect of the pandemic – blue skies and clean air. Pollution is alleviating as lockdowns have shuttered businesses and trapped billions of people at home. Someone feels at peace when the hustle and bustle in the streets and sidewalks have disappeared. Mother earth seems to have rejuvenated itself. Planet earth is breathing again and wildlife is enjoying their spaces and lives without us everywhere!

Even after the worst storms, the sun will shine again. We will get through this tough challenge and have the healthy and peaceful life back soon.
